Quality Control Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Control program and related procedures while ensuring QC practices align with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations/standards as necessary.
Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify product conformity for all facilities.
Supervise QC Technicians and assign daily inspection, audit, and testing priorities.
Train and lead staff on quality expectations, inspection methods, sampling plans, defect recognition, documentation, and safety requirements.
Identify, quarantine, and manage nonconforming materials/products to prevent use or release.
Lead disposition decisions (rework, scrap, B items, return-to-vendor) based on defined procedures.
Establish and track KPIs, review routinely with department leads and supporting roles, and drive corrective action to prevent recurrence in scraps, defects, etc.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
Communicate with customers regarding complaint investigations and corrective actions, providing detailed information in a SCAR.
Review and approve inspection results, test reports, engineering requests and new product releases.
Ensure inspection and testing equipment is properly maintained, tracked and calibrated.
Ensure QC records are accurate, complete, timely, and properly stored (paper or electronic).
Communicate all quality process/procedure implementations, alerts and updates with Plant Manager, department Supervisors, and through designated communication tools.
Prepare and lead all internal and external audits (customer, regulatory, or certification audits).
Conduct product, sample, raw material, prototype, tooling and other various inspections as required.
Oversee the inventory control, organization, and issuance of tooling and other equipment stored in the tooling cage.
Support investigation and response to customer complaints, returns, and quality concerns.
Provide quality documentation to customers when needed (COA, inspection results, traceability info).
Communicate quality risks and containment actions clearly and promptly.
Ensure safe work practices and clean, organized QC areas (including lab/inspection zones).
Promote teamwork and build a culture of continuous improvement
Perform back-up of others as required
Other duties as assigned
Hours/Schedule: Mon-Fri Schedule TBD between the hours of 5am and 4:30pm.
Pay Details: $31.25 per hour
