High school diploma or equivalent required
Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills
Strong mechanical repair skills including diesel and automotive systems
Knowledge in electrical, hydraulic systems, compressors, and crane repairs
Demonstrated understanding of hydraulic and electric theory
Ability to use service manuals to troubleshoot
Ability to use diagnostic equipment and interpret results
Proficient use of hand and power tools
Proficient PC skills (including Internet)
Demonstrated ability to read, follow, and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics
Visual and auditory skills
Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, climb, crawl, kneel, walk, and work for long periods
Regular twisting, pulling, pushing forces associated with use of tools
Lift/carry up to 75 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
Operate heavy machinery, power tools, or equipment
Work at elevated heights or confined spaces
Drive a motor vehicle or commercial vehicle requiring a valid driver's license
Minimum two (2) years' experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks (including diesel engines and transmissions/components) required
