CDL Required
Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement required.
Ability to safely operate a CDL truck on specified routes to collect solid waste.
Ability to read route tablet and service each customer identified on the route or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to remove refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Ability to mount and dismount the truck multiple times every day while on route.
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
Ability to function in a wide variety of environments to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments (i.e., rain, heat, sun, cold).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move/maneuver up to 100 pounds.

Must have five years of experience in general heavy truck repair, automotive repair, or equipment repair; equivalent trade school/technical school time may be applied toward this requirement
Or have completed a vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in vehicle and equipment repair and have four years of experience
