- High school diploma or equivalent required, with technical training or drilling-related certifications preferred for candidates seeking this drilling position.
- Demonstrated experience drilling water wells or ISR wellfield wells, with strong preference for uranium ISR or comparable wellfield environments using mud rotary and air rotary drilling methods.
- Hands-on experience operating a DM650 drill rig or a similar drill rig commonly used for water well or ISR wellfield drilling operations in field environments.
- Working knowledge of drilling methods, casing installation, well development, and general drill site operations, including delineation drilling using air rotary methods when required by the drilling program.
- Ability to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on drill rigs and associated support equipment used in ISR and water well drilling operations.
- Knowledge of muds, polymers, drilling fluids, and other consumables used in drilling operations, including safe handling practices and proper application in the field.
- Valid driver's license with ability to be insured by the company, with a Commercial Driver's License preferred, including air brake and tanker endorsements where required.
- Ability to read and follow drilling programs, procedures, and safety documentation, and to complete basic written records and reports accurately and on schedule.
- Basic math skills and proficiency with standard workplace software, mobile devices, or digital reporting tools required for documenting drilling, maintenance, and operational data.
- Working knowledge of safe work practices, including hazard identification, equipment inspections, lockout/tagout, excavation awareness, and general industrial safety requirements in field operations.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions around uranium ISR facility operations, to stand, sit, walk, use hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear, and to lift twenty-five to one hundred pounds repeatedly while performing drilling tasks.
- Comfort working in an industrial uranium ISR facility environment with low levels of radioactive materials and radiation, low to moderate noise, moving equipment, wet surfaces, uneven ground, and other typical field hazards.
