49CFR, IATA and IMDG certifications, or be able to obtain
Must be highly proficient in the use of computers: email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Must be highly organized and self-motivated
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to multi-task
There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, climb stairs, sit, reach, demonstrate manual dexterity, talk, hear and see
The incumbent may occasionally be required to lift light to moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds)
The incumbent will be required to utilize and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required
The Logistics Coordinator must demonstrate commitment to zero incidents and injuries in the workplace and beyond
The incumbent must possess the ability to remain calm during site emergencies and evacuate when required
The incumbent must have the ability and willingness to work extended hours at a 24-hour, 365-day operation
Plans, schedules the efficient movement of material from the warehouse to shipments
Executes/coordinates shipping schedule in conjunction with the Shipping Foreman
Tenders' shipments in Transportation Management System
Creates and maintains the daily shipping schedule
Investigate issues that arise with carriers
Utilize 3rd party websites/email/phone to schedule customer preferred carriers
Prepares all export and domestic Bills of Lading in SAP
Post Goods Issues all shipments in SAP
