Successful candidates will have a BS, MS, or PhD degree in electrical and/or computer engineering with a focus in embedded systems development.
4 or more years of experience with FPGA development, VHDL programming, and associated workflows
4 or more years of experience with C programming for Microcontroller and/or Digital Signal Processor development and testing
4 or more years of experience with C++ programming and compilation in a Linux environment
Basic understanding of signal processing and Matlab data analysis
BS in electrical engineering and/or computer engineering
Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance
Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Candidates must have a proven track record of designing and implementing state machines and algorithms on prototype R&D; embedded systems.

Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience or 1 year experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.
PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software.
