Sets up automatic spring coiling machines to fabricate compression, extension, and torsion springs from steel wire, according to blueprints and setup charts
Basic Math skills are required
Reading and Writing is required
Continuously monitor coiling equipment during the production run to ensure springs remain compliant to the tolerance standard
Capable of loading wire onto the payoff reel and run material through the rollers and machine guides
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Spring Coiler Operator and Setup Technician
Knowledge of tooling setup and auxiliary machine attachments is required
Verifies material diameter with micrometer caliper
Capable of setting up cams, turnbuckle, and pitch tool to control spring dimensions
Adjust equipment to attain specified tolerance and release the SPRING COILER to initiate production with written and oral instructions
Review of prior setup details from setup chart maintenance is required
