Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical/mechanical design and drafting, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong knowledge of electrical-mechanical systems and modern manufacturing processes.
Expertise in 2D and 3D CAD systems (SolidWorks required).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to build peer relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in reading and interpreting work orders, schematics, technical procedures, and production documentation, including blueprints.
Ability to ensure documentation compliance with military and industrial standards.
The job requires sitting at a desk performing normal office work, including phone communications and computer use.
Some walking and standing may be required, particularly when interacting with Manufacturing Department personnel.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
And perform repetitive motions, including bending and squatting, may occasionally be required.
This position involves working primarily in an office environment (approximately 85% of the time) with periodic work in a manufacturing facility or shop floor (approximately 15% of the time).
Proper safety equipment, including eye protection, must be worn when on the shop floor.
