No prior field service experience required
Internship, co-op, military technical training, or laboratory instrumentation experience preferred
Basic understanding of electronics, mechanics, vacuum systems, and computer hardware/software troubleshooting
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent customer service and communication abilities
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings
Proficiency with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and basic networking concepts
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members
Valid driver's license required
Ability to travel frequently within assigned territory (50–75%)
Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to work safely around chemicals, hazardous materials, and high-voltage systems
Frequent travel to customer sites is required and may range from 50–75% of working time
Work is performed in laboratories, research facilities, manufacturing sites, cleanrooms, and home office environments
Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules when necessary

Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, including PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, CompactLogix), Siemens, or equivalent
Experience programming, troubleshooting, and modifying PLC systems
