Must have successfully graduated (or currently enrolled) in the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) Machining program.
A State Certified Machinist Journeyman's Card is required.
The Journeyman's Card or required diploma must be completed prior to July 2026 to be considered for an interview. If hired with no Journeyman's Card, the candidate must agree to complete the apprenticeship program.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing machining or tool making (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Military Service equivalent in pay grade E-6 or above. One or more of the following Navy Enlisted Classifications (NEC) or other service branch specific equivalent:
* Machinery Repairman or service equivalent
* U32A Computer Numerically Controlled Machinist
* U33A NAMTS Inside Machinist
Verification of Military Experience and Training (VMET, DD Form 2586) and Job Qualification Requirement (JQR) documentation are required when uploading resume.

Ability to perform layout and fit-up from blueprints, drawings, and work packages with limited supervision.
Experience with burning, grinding, beveling, drilling, tapping, and structural fitting operations.
Proficient in using measuring tools, levels, squares, templates, and cutting equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces, at heights, and aboard vessels.
Strong understanding of shipyard safety procedures and quality standards.
Must be able to pass required pre-employment screenings.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain DBIDS access and possess or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
