Registered Nurse (RN)
Education: Graduate of a school of nursing.
Experience: One (1) year experience and/or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program.
License and Certification: Current unrestricted License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) of practice
Must meet state-specific regulatory requirements.
Previous nursing experience in hospice, home health, general medical-surgical, or population-specific care (e.g., pediatrics, geriatrics) is required
Along with willingness to serve on-call
Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and the minimum required liability auto insurance
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems
Physically able to lift patients over 200 pounds (with assistance), stand, walk, sit, stoop, and perform other physical movements frequently
Regular exposure to indoor environments and moderate noise expected
