Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) required
1+ year of payroll processing experience
Proficiency with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, UKG, Paycom, or similar platforms
Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups required
Experience supporting union and/or grant-funded employees
Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll for a large employee population
Maintain employee payroll records and update payroll information as needed
Respond to payroll-related questions from employees in both English and Spanish
Review and audit timesheets, attendance records, and payroll reports for accuracy
Coordinate with Human Resources regarding new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefit deductions
Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Support payroll reconciliations and assist with payroll-related general ledger entries
Generate payroll reports and assist with audits as required
Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion
