Read and work from drawings, sketches, routing notes, and instructions to determine operational requirements and develop forming details for sheet metal components.
Set up and operate Cincinnati press brakes, rolls, shears, band saws, drills, forklifts, overhead cranes, and various hand tools safely and effectively.
Select proper dies, tooling, and machine settings to complete work accurately and efficiently.
Assist with or independently perform layout, forming, press brake, rolling, shearing, sawing, drilling, and related fabrication operations based on experience and skill level.
Measure and inspect parts using tools such as tape measures, calipers, squares, and protractors to ensure conformance to specifications and prescribed tolerances.
Use shop math, arithmetic calculations, and layout formulas to support fabrication and forming operations.
Detect defective materials, unusual conditions, or operating difficulties and communicate them promptly to supervisors or trainers.
Maintain a positive team-oriented attitude, comply with company and departmental policies, and support on-time, high-quality job completion.
