Active and good standing Pharmacist license in Massachusetts
Two to three years of experience working as a pharmacist preferred
Extensive knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in all areas of pharmacy operations, including: IV admixtures, drug information services, ambulatory pharmacy, pharmaceutical manufacturing, drug distribution systems
Direct and coordinate the delivery of pharmacy services
Supervise and verify the accuracy of all work performed by pharmacy support personnel during assigned shifts
Operate within established pharmacy policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with target drug programs, formulary management initiatives, medication management programs, and adverse drug event monitoring systems
Identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related problems to optimize patient outcomes
Document and report clinical interventions, medication errors, and adverse drug events
Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities
Comply with all policies, procedures, laws, and regulations established by the Board of Pharmacy and other applicable regulatory agencies
Participate in the education and training of medical, nursing, and allied health professionals
Complete a minimum of 20 continuing education credits annually to maintain licensure
