Successful graduation from a school giving a course of not less than two years for physical therapist assistants, which has been approved for the educational preparation of physical therapist assistants by the appropriate accrediting agency recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation or the United States Department of Education at the time of her or his graduation

Requires current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by : American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Healthcare Association (NHA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by : American Medical Technologists (AMT), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP); OR a certified EMT.
