High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have successfully graduated (or currently enrolled) in the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) Machining program.
A State Certified Machinist Journeyman's Card is required.
The Journeyman's Card or required diploma must be completed prior to July 2026 to be considered for an interview. If hired with no Journeyman's Card, the candidate must agree to complete the apprenticeship program.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing machining or tool making (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Military Service equivalent in pay grade E-6 or above. One or more of the following Navy Enlisted Classifications (NEC) or other service branch specific equivalent:
* Machinery Repairman or service equivalent
* U32A Computer Numerically Controlled Machinist
* U33A NAMTS Inside Machinist
Verification of Military Experience and Training (VMET, DD Form 2586) and Job Qualification Requirement (JQR) documentation are required when uploading resume.
Successful candidates must meet the required WorkKeys assessment standards.
Must be highly motivated, with a focus on attention to detail.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance
Machining Diploma or an equivalent program from a recognized trade school or community college (minimum 2-year accredited program) by July 2026.
