Minimum 15 years of shipyard design and construction experience or equivalent experience
Thorough knowledge of mechanical systems, ship and propulsion system design and operation, engine alignment, shaft design and alignment, HVAC and piping systems
Minimum 5 years managerial responsibilities of engineering personnel
Ability to acquire and maintain a security clearance
Thorough knowledge of ship systems
Strong working knowledge of Maritime Regulatory Authorities (i.e. ABS, DNV, GL, NAVSEA, MIL, USCG, IMO, etc.)
Willing to submit to a drug screen
Strong technical background and experience
Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate technical and design issues to external and internal customers, as well as subordinates
Required to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance may be required if deemed necessary in the scope of your position responsibilities
Experienced leader and able to effectively lead other leaders/managers
Computer - MS Office Products, AutoCAD
No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date
Excellent written and oral communication skills
18 years of age or older at time of application
No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date
Willing to submit to a background check
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
Must be familiar with the ship design process
Able to provide proof of US Person Status
