Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in quality control or quality assurance within a precision machining, honing, tooling, or related manufacturing environment, including at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.
Strong knowledge of precision machining processes (especially honing), geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T;), and complex mechanical inspection methods.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and detailed engineering specifications.
Proficiency with metrology tools such as CMMs, air gauges, surface finish testers, bore gauges, micrometers, and height gauges.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage workloads, and coach inspectors in proper inspection and documentation methods.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, including experience with non-conformance reporting and root-cause methodologies (5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC).
Regular standing, walking, and moving between production and inspection areas.
Ability to lift and handle parts, tools, and inspection equipment up to 40 lbs.
Close visual acuity required for inspecting precision components and reading detailed drawings.
