Associate's degree / vocational or technical school degree, emphasis in Mechanical/Automotive/HVAC/Welding/Plumbing is required
At least 10+ years of prior, work related job experience
Requires independent decision making, nonstandard problem solving, troubleshooting, planning, organizing and the supervision of Machine Shop, Automotive and Plumbing trades
Thorough background in reading, modifying, or correcting blueprints, sketches, and drawings
Must fully comprehend manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and/or setup requirements
Must be able to manage and verify employee techniques and work in same
Must be detail oriented to guide and instruct employees in trouble shooting and finding causes of mechanical, plumbing and electronic malfunctions

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
Experience in a cement industry required
Good use of Microsoft Office tools, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Ability to quickly learn and master proprietary software associated with analytical equipment
Physical requirements: ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours); climb stairs and ladders as high as 380 feet in elevation; ability to lift and carry 70lbs. up stairs; must be able to walk long distances, climb ladders, stairs, and stockpiles, stoop, and crawl under and into enclosed spaces
Walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground)
Must be able to use proper Personal Protective Equipment as required
Ability to see and hear safety indicators and warnings
Must work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry and/or dusty conditions and near hot kiln process
Will have exposure to all levels of noise that require the use of hearing protection
Exposure to cement, clay, limestone and various lab chemicals; see MSDS for more details
Ability to work in surroundings that include heat, dust, vibration, heights and confined spaces
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing
