High School Diploma or GED plus three years in a commercial roofing environment.
Valid drivers license
Considerable knowledge of OSHA Standards as they pertain to construction and roofing.
Considerable knowledge of various commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
Good knowledge of Federal, State and local environmental, health and safety codes.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, in English, and comprehend drawings and specifications, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Strong verbal skills and ability to interact with all level of employees and management
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to compute rate, ratio.
Physical ability requirements including: lifting and carrying between 15 and 50 pounds; twisting, reaching, bending, stooping, and squatting occasionally; mounting/dismounting lifts, trucks, or tractors; climbing ladders up to 40 feet tall or scaffolding; working in loud/noisy environments; working with fumes, dust, dirt, smoke, gases, grease and oils and solvents; awareness of surrounding area when working at high levels and with hot products.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions year-round with exposure to excessive heat and cold.
