Two or more years' experience welding on oilfield related equipment (or similar type equipment).
Knowledge is required in the following areas: assembly; parts: welding; welding symbols; ability to read and understand welding drawings; quality control; and safety.
Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes.
Must have strong general mechanical skills.
Adherence to D1.1 Welding Code
In-depth knowledge of reading blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols
Must be able to read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications and drawing, and perform normal math calculations easily.
Welders will be required to take and pass a welding test consisting of 1/2" plate, open butt 6010 stringer 7018 filler in a vertical position.
Must be able to walk and stand throughout an eight-to-twelve-hour day.
Must be able to occasionally lift 80 lbs. from a table position to chest high using a proper lifting technique.
Must be able to occasionally climb a ladder to reach areas to be welded and/or worked on.
Must be able to repetitively use arms, hands, and fingers in the manipulation of parts.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
