Associate degree (Required) in Logisitic's.
Or bachelor's degree in Transportation Supply Chain Management or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years transportation planning/logistics/dispatch experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and must be available on-call during evening and weekend hours as needed to address issues (i.e., equipment breakdowns, weather emergencies, etc.).
General schedule is Monday - Friday.
Experience with transportation operations and related systems, expertise in governmental safety and regulatory compliance (i.e., DOT/CSA, OSHA, etc.).
Two years supervisory/management experience.
Strong knowledge of transportation/logistics; an understanding of transportation activities such as dispatch, DOT/CSA requirements, backhauls, contract carriers, Bill of Lading, Manifest, etc.
Knowledge of transportation on-boarding software required; experience with Cadec or Omnitracs preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
Good leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
Good analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and business acumen skills.
Ability to work across business units, as well as with vendors and third-party services within a time-sensitive work environment.
Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel up to 15% as necessary.
Must frequently sit, walk and stand, use hands to handle, grasp, and twist objects, tools, or controls, and use both feet for repetitive movements as in operating foot controls.
Must frequently walk, talk, crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, and reach with the hands and arms.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned, and must be able to work in the condition specified for 8-10 hours shift as assigned.
