Minimum of 5 years welding experience performing GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) on a variety of aerospace materials such as austenitic, martensitic, and precipitation hardened stainless steels, nickel-based steels, aluminum, and titanium
Welding experience with GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) and ability to operate GTAW machines
Welder candidate should have experience with or knowledge of AWS D17.1-Specifications for Fusion Welding for Aerospace Applications
Preference for NADCAP certification for aerospace welding, specifically the welding of sheet metal in the flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead position
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to communicate orally and in writing
Ability to use basic shop math and perform calculations (rate, ratio, percent) and interpret measurements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear
