The DLA drug testing panel tests for the following substances: marijuana, cocaine, opiates, heroin, phencyclidine, amphetamines, methamphetamines, fentanyl, norfentanyl, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), and opioids.

Applicants tentatively selected for employment in testing designated positions will undergo a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.

Physical Demands : Approximately 50% of work is sedentary. Remaining 50% will be visiting manufacturing facilities, regularly requiring extended periods of walking, standing, or bending while observing manufacturing operations, witnessing tests or examining material and processes. Employee must pass an annual physical exam and be certified to wear a respirator as needed to complete their duties.

Work Environment: Approximately 50% of the work is performed in an office-like setting involving everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions. The other 50% is in travel status and within industrial facilities, warehouses, and manufacturing environments. Industrial and manufacturing environments can create exposure to the risks, hazards and conditions requiring special precautions and clothing, such as site visits to DLA Strategic Materials field activities or periodic visits to manufacturing or vender managed storage facilities.
