Minimum of one (1) year of shipbuilding experience, with recent focus on change, data management, document control and process development.
Knowledge of Ships Work Breakdown Structure (SWBS)
Knowledge of database administration and maintenance (Microsoft Access, SQL Server or Oracle)
Possess intermediate knowledge of using Microsoft Office Suite
Basic AutoCAD skills are desired.
Must be able to gather, organize, collate, and distribute large amounts of data to support managing projects.
Must be able to prepare presentation materials in support of meetings.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and on multiple projects required.
Ability to communicate on all levels with Program Management, Project, Engineering, and Production Personnel to ensure all program requirements are fulfilled in accordance with contractual requirements and obligations.
Knowledge of general engineering administration and development practices.
Ability to maintaining and tracking Program Change Documentation (i.e. ECPs, ECRs, TPs, TIs, PTS/SOWs, RFPs, RFVs, GFI/GFIDs)
Performs data management via IDE site by uploading and downloading data for review and approvals.
Assembles and maintains project files within SharePoint.
Regulatory body point of contact for postings and retrieval of information necessary for the class approval of each assigned project.
Interfaces with engineering personnel, regulatory bodies, class societies, vendors, subcontractors, and yard personnel.
Works with Engineering by organizing and tracking formal deliverables and VFI for all projects.
Responsible for all job administration and coordination for a project, as a team member and manages all correspondence and data assigned by the Project Engineer.
Interface with Engineering, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Purchasing, Accounting, Production Control, and management as required.
Maintains and tracks Program Change Documentation (i.e. ECPs, ECRs, TPs, TIs, PTS/SOWs, RFPs, RFVs, GFI/GFIDs)
Processes, assembles, and tracks drawing issues, drawing correspondence, drawing comments, deliverable status report, regulatory and class correspondence (including comments), and job-related transmittals.
Support of CDRL management, submissions, tracking, and reporting if required.
Provides support to project teams by providing administrative checks and balances to ensure adherence to engineering procedures.
