- Uses team management skills to lead the design group during the conceptual phase of product development following CPH and client's standards and templates
- Directs development of an action plan and estimates requirements for resources management, labor, materials, and time required to complete project
- Development of deliverables including plans, design reports and technical specifications
- Supervision of junior engineers in evaluation of shop drawings, and oversight of construction administration duties as the Engineer of Record
- Monitors progress of development project and compares actual costs with estimates
- Prepares monthly reports, detailing progress, and costs for next level management
- Works with Project Managers to develop scope and manhour estimates for various projects
- Reviews and studies existing equipment, facilities, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs
- Periodic travel to perform business development, project management, site investigations, and construction observation
- Duty includes preparation or review of subsequent reports and exhibits
- Cooperates with other project engineers from other plants to share similar problems and solutions
