6 months to 1 year of previous related experience is preferred.
Candidate must be able to work with a microscope, small hand tools, have good manual dexterity and good hand/eye/tool coordination.
Must be familiar with and have basic computer skills to be able to make data entries on a daily basis for labor hours and for inventory control.
Be cross trained on equipment as needed, and continue to build knowledge, skills and abilities throughout the department.
Must be able to work as a team as well as independently.
Must have good oral and written communication skills and know basic math.
Be able to interpret instructions provided orally or written via diagram or schedule form
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate will occasionally stand, walk, stoop, bend, knee, crouch; be able to lift and carry 10-24 lbs; you will frequently need to hear to listen or talk to ask questions or provide feedback; will continuously need to sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
VISION REQUIREMENTS: be able to identify and distinguish colors, be required to use close vision, have the ability to adjust focus and determine depth.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: you will be exposed to vapors, airborne particles or toxic chemical (safely below occupational limits); work near moving mechanical parts and/or be in contact with moving mechanical equipment.
