High School Diploma or GED required
Associate Degree in Automotive, Diesel, or Power Generation Technology + 4 years' experience in related field (2 years in electrical/motion controls)
4 years' experience in related field (3 years in electrical/motion controls)
Understanding of electrical systems and associated hazards (required)
Proficiency in electrical test equipment: multimeters, pressure calibrators, signal generators, process meters
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical line diagrams and blueprints
Diagnose and repair electrical problems
Working knowledge of pneumatic, PLC, and electronic engine controls, including:
End devices: RTDs, Thermocouples, 4–20mA sensors, Relays/Solenoids, Magnetic pickups, Hall Effect proximity sensors
Allen Bradley PLC (RSLogix 500 and 5000) or equivalent
HMI programming (PanelBuilder 32, FactoryTalk View ME) or equivalent
Automation system diagnosis and troubleshooting
Experience with standby generators and engine operation/maintenance
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Valid driver's license and eligibility for company credit card
Travel up to 10% for training purposes
Must hold or obtain U.S. Passport within 3 months of hire
Must meet NOFORN requirements for access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (proof of U.S. Citizenship required)
Stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle tools or components
Reach with hands/arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Talk, hear, and smell
Sit and climb/balance frequently
Vision: close, distant, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
Lift at least 35 pounds regularly
Operate safely according to published safety guidelines
Wear appropriate PPE per company policies
Complete annual safety training as scheduled
Obtain and maintain certification based on internal Service Progression Requirements
Report all work-related accidents or injuries immediately
Must be able to obtain basic safety clearance
