US Underground Driller Assistant

Major Drilling

Salt Lake City, UT 84125

Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
Current valid driver's license (without any DUI's, reckless driving citations, or more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years)
Must be able to work flexible shifts and adapt to varying field conditions
Must pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening
Able and willing to travel for this position and work 12-hour days, 7 days a week, for 20 days at a time (home 10) and willing to be away from family and friends
Clean criminal background check
Willingness to travel and work at various mine sites if required
Labor intensive work outdoors, with small crews, in various weather conditions and often remote work locations
Hold a current MSHA 5000-23 UG/Surface Certification.
Dependable transportation to get to and from different job sites (and airports)

Extensive hands-on experience with various Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or other relational database programs
Strong presentation and written communication skills
A combination of maintenance and production leadership in a manufacturing setting
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
Capability to effectively interact with tradesmen, managers, and business executives
Extensive experience with the application of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies
A Maintenance Consulting role working on the implementation of Maintenance processes, systems and disciplines
Experience creating, implementing, and driving performance using Maintenance KPIs (leading and lagging)
Project management experience
3+ years of relevant experience working in either:
Maintenance / Reliability leadership in a manufacturing setting
Keen analytical mindset
Ability to be pragmatic, resilient and innovative in problem-solving and issue resolution
Comfort working in the great small-town communities where our clients have their operations
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business, or other related field (required)
Fluency in Spanish (ideal, but not required)
