Coordinates activities pertaining to verifying and keeping records on outgoing shipments
Completes all shipping labels, packing slips, and tariff and declaration paperwork for interstate and international shipments
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
Will be cross trained to perform stockroom duties when needed
Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers
Prepare items for shipment per customer and sales order requirements
Generates serial number labels for all products being shipped

Records weights and shipping charges of shipment
Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or select pre-assembled containers
Provides Supply Chain Supervisor with status reports regarding problems or accomplishments
Shipping and Receiving hands-on experience with small-part packing and shipping for parcel carriers such as UPS and FedEx
Insert items into containers for shipping purposes
Adheres to company procedures and policies regarding personnel and quality issues
Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
Determines items to be shipped, number of items and method of shipping from documentation folder, accounting department, or other department managers
Contacts carrier representatives to arrange shipments
Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons
